Purpose of the day
The purpose of the workshop is to provide the opportunity to focus on Business Continuity Management and Planning in the NHS, provide national and regional updates, provide input and training to enable participants to take forward business continuity in their own organisations.
Overview of the day
The day will start promptly at 10.00 and finish at 15.30. There will be short, focused plenary inputs setting the scene with updates from the NHS Resilience Project Team. To make the most of the learning, knowledge and expertise the main part of the day will be devoted to facilitated breakout sessions. About 60 people are expected to attend and we would like delegates to stay for the entire day to make the most of this opportunity.

by means of stakeholder analysis
• Understand the principles of Business Impact Assessment (BIA) how and
how to approach it in your organization
• Develop business continuity strategies that will underpin the Business
Continuity Plan (BCP)

Plenary session
Facilitators will make short summaries of the breakout sessions at the afternoon’s plenary session. This will give participants the opportunity to hear the output of all the groups and to make final, brief inputs.
